Dear Donna, Pascha and Margie:

\JI am writing this on the computer as there are several things to be
said to all of you about our trip.

First as to visas.  We have applied for ours and I understand that it
can take some time so you should start getting yours without delay if
you have not done so already.  Egypt requires proof of vaccination and
strongly recommends Cholera shots.  To get your visa you must present
this proof with your passports and an extra signed passport photo.

As a matter of general information, Bernice and I are flying to Hartford
via New York arriving at 7:27 PM on Tuesday Dec. 23rd. on DL 924Y.

Next, there is the matter of transportation from New York.  We have
reservations for 3 to fly to London from New
York on PA 100Y leaving at 10:00 AM on Sunday Dec. 28.  Margaret
will have to decide as to the best way for us to get to the air port.
There is a connecting flight from Hartford leaving at 7:30 AM but we
have not applied for reservations.  Margaret will have to get her
own ticket using the reservation that we have made.

We have reservations for 3 at the Westbury Hotel in London
for 3 nights.  Perhaps Pascha, Donna and family may not
want to arrive in London until the morning of Wednesday Dec.31, but if
you are planning to come a day or so ahead, it would be nice for us all
to be at the same hotel.  We are due at the Excelsior Hotel, near
Heathrow Airport at noon on Wednesday Dec. 31st for an informal cocktail
party and lunch.  Since this may the first opportunity for us to get
straightened out with respect to our tickets etc. we should all be
there on time.

We are taking care of all ticketing matters for the Egyptian trip.
I am including some literature that you should see.  We only have
reservations for 6 to Abu Simbel with wait listing for the 7th.
We should sort this out well before departure time.
The children might not be interested in Abu Simbel but I really think they
should see it.  The alternative is to fly to the high dam.

We get back to London at 2 PM on Fri.Jan.16th and we have
reservations for three only on flight BE46Y leaving London at 5:00 PM.
arriving at de Galle airport at 6:55 PM.  The Hussains will have to make
their own reservations. If they think that some other flight would be
better, say one arriving at Orly they might like to make reservations
for all of us and have us cancel the ones we now hold.

For our departure from Paris we have two reservations leaving
Orly at 11:05 AM on Fri. Jan 23rd. arriving in London at 11:10 AM with a
direct flight from London to San Francisco leaving at 12:55 PM. on PA
125Y.\.
